Forgotten Coast Kayak Fishing Classic
Welcome to the 4th Annual Forgotten Coast Kayak Fishing Classic Website. April 15-16 2011 we are supporting the Wakulla County Senior Services Center. They are the Wakulla County representatives of Meals on Wheels. In addition they operate services in the Elementary Schools for parents ot drop off their children early in the mornings before school starts and they operate the buses that provide transportation to many that need it in Wakulla County. We are proud to offer our support through this tournament. The 2011 Forgotten Coast Kayak Fishing Classic registration will begin around the beginning of January 2011. We put this own to support our community, and our sponsors provide all of the food and prizes. They support us, so please support them. The wind was stiff at 15 to 20 mph out of the east and much better than the 50 mph gail force winds in 2009. The sponsors provided some great prizes including 7 brand new kayaks, AT paddles, Capt Dick Stakeout poles, MTI PFD?s, Wang stakeout poles, and lots of other goodies. Ice Mule provided coolers. Aqua Dream Living provided weedless spoons, Saltwater Assassin provided plastic baits, Hobie Polarized glasses provied sunglasses and neck straps. In addition Kevins Fine Apparel provied many of the products raffled off including paddles, rods, and FCKA Survival bags with Gulp jerkbaits, Fishin Mission jig heads, and assorted topwater plugs. Bomber provided 100 Ba-donk-adonks, and Survival light provided survival lights with a hand crank. Polar Bear coolers provided some coolers, and Yak Attack donated Visipole lights. There were 1255.65 inches of fish caught. 751.8 inches of Redfish, 325.5 inches of trout, 97.55 inches of Flounder, and 80.8 inches of freshwater bass. The first division to receive prizes was the:
