2nd Annual Forgotten Coast Kayak Fishing Classic

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Forgotten Coast Kayak Fishing Classic Website. March 27,28 2010 we are supporting the Wakulla County Senior Services Center. They are the Wakulla County representatives of Meals on Wheels. In addition they operate services in the Elementary Schools for parents ot drop off their children early in the mornings before school starts and they operate the buses that provide transportation to many that need it in Wakulla County. We are proud to offer our support through this tournament. We collect $50 from each participant and immediately give it to WCSSC. Sponsors provide all of our prizes including kayaks, paddles, PFD's and Stakeout Poles, 100 gift bag items, 100 raffle prizes, food and drink.
If you or your organization would like to donate 100 gift bag items, raffle prizes over $25, or money

Thanks for those attending March 27,28 2009

Thanks everyone for attending this years 2nd Annual Forgotten Coast Kayak Fishing Classic and thanks to all of the folks that made this happen.

First and foremost were the sponsors. Without them we would all be joining up for a big Calcutta.

Second is the Wakulla County Senior Services Center. RH Carter and crew are very supportive to the community and extremely supportive to all of you and your commitment to serving the community through them.

And third are all of the participants. Thanks to each and everyone that attended. I know many of you came for the competition, and thats the one thing we denied everyone due to the weather, but I hope we made up for it with hospitality and good food.

Liam did a great job preparing and serving the food. Jason and Cameron checked everyone in, and Jason also provided the porta-pottys outside for everyone's use. Bill helped out tremendously securing support from local business to get raffle prizes. Pepsi of Tallahassee provided all of the soft drinks, and a few private supporters paid for the shrimp boil. Cameron served as our version of "Vannah White" handing out prizes. Brad Kirn secured some nice Press coverage for us, and Capt Dick (Stan Laughlin) and Tony Narcisse set us up with some really sweet coverage from a National TV show, but weather deterred them also. I'd also like to thank Hard Ice for the free bags of ice that kept our drinks cool. And a big thanks to Advantage Marine for the one last HURRAH! Thanks to Capt Pat McGriff for the entertaining advice and FWC for the education and support.

Next year we are working on maintaining our "Family Reunion Type" atmosphere, and we are moving to a different location. One that provides cover in rough weather, security for our gear and the gear of the kayakers, and atmosphere that allows us to commune with fellow kayak anglers and share ideas and strategy of fishing. Maybe next year we can have a meteorologist attend the event. We will also establish milestones pertaining to weather and how it will effect the events of the tournament. Thanks to everyone for supporting the Wakulla County Senior Services Center, and thanks for attending the Forgotten Coast Kayak Fishing Classic.

Thanks again to all of the sponsors for participating and helping support Wakulla County Senior Services Center.

All Proceeds go to Wakulla County Senior Services Center.
